Privacy Policy

Tactix Lineup (“Lineup”, “the app”) is a soccer lineup and roster planning tool for coaches. You can use it without an account, and then everything stays on your device. If you create a free account you can sign in on other devices, and if you subscribe to sync, your lineups are stored in the cloud so they follow you. This policy explains what is collected, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account and sign-in. You can sign in with Google, Apple or an email code, handled by our authentication provider (WorkOS). We receive your name (if the provider gives one), email address, and a unique user ID. Signing in is free and does not by itself upload your lineups.

Roster and lineup data. Team and lineup names, player display and full names, jersey numbers, positions, formations and any player photos you add are always saved on your device. While you have an active sync subscription and are signed in, they are also stored in our database and file storage (Supabase) so they stay in step across your devices and survive a reinstall. This data is scoped to your account only: database rules stop any other account from reading or writing it, and player photos are kept in a private storage bucket that is never publicly readable.

Subscription and purchase information. Sync is a paid feature. When you subscribe, the payment is taken by Stripe on the web, or by Google Play or the Apple App Store in the mobile app, with RevenueCat helping to confirm purchases in the app. We do not receive or store your card number. We keep a record of what you subscribed to, its status and its dates, linked to your user ID, so we can turn sync on and off correctly.

Without a subscription, nothing new is uploaded. Deleting a lineup, custom formation, player photo or logo also deletes any cloud copy of it, even without a subscription, and data you synced earlier stays readable and deletable in your account.

Advertising. The app currently shows no ads and collects no advertising data. If a rewarded video ad (via Google AdMob) is shown in the future, Google and its ad partners may collect device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure it, subject to Google’s own privacy policy. Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) the app will ask for your consent first, and you will be able to change that choice in Settings.

On-device storage. The app keeps a local copy of your settings and data on your device so that it works offline and loads instantly.

How We Use Information

We use this information to run the app: to sign you in, to keep your rosters and lineups in sync across your devices when you have subscribed, to know whether sync is included in your plan, and to provide support. We do not sell your personal information and we do not use player data for advertising.

Who We Share Data With

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app: WorkOS (authentication), Supabase (database and file storage), Stripe, Google Play and the Apple App Store (payments), RevenueCat (purchase confirmation in the mobile app), and, only if ads are turned on, Google AdMob. Each processes data under its own privacy terms and only to provide its service to us.

The app also checks for a newer version of its interface, which downloads a small file and sends no information about you or your team.

Player Data and Children’s Privacy

Rosters commonly include information about youth players, some of whom are children. It is entered by the coach who holds the account, not collected from the child, and the account holder is responsible for having appropriate permission (for example from a parent, guardian or club) to record a player’s details. Player names, jersey numbers, positions and photos are used only to show that coach their own lineups, are never used for advertising, and are stored in access-controlled locations. The app is intended for coaches and adults, not for children to use.

Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the account menu in the app. Deletion is scheduled with a 30-day grace period: cancel within that window and nothing is lost; after it, your account, every lineup, your roster and every player photo are permanently deleted from our systems. Your Tactix account is shared across Tactix apps, so deleting it removes your data in all of them.

You can also request deletion on the web, without the app installed, at tactix-3-0-web.vercel.app/en/delete-account. Payment records held by Stripe, Google or Apple may be kept by them as their own terms and the law require.

Deleting your account cancels subscriptions bought on the web (Stripe) automatically. It does NOT cancel subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play: cancel those in the store at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, or the store will keep billing you. When the account is purged we also delete the billing entitlement records we hold for it.

To clear what is stored on a single device, use Settings → Clear this device, or uninstall the app. That does not affect your account or other devices. Without an account, this is the only place your data exists, so uninstalling removes it for good.

Security

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS). Synced roster and lineup data is protected by database-level access rules tied to your account, and player photos live in a private storage bucket that is never publicly readable. On your device, the protection that matters most is its own lock screen and encryption.
